CodySafe Apps Depot was recently extended with new portable apps. We have noticed that the games section has gained the tremendous interest. It is quite clear that employees enjoy playing portable games rather than installing them to the workstation at work. It is obvious. Portable games keep scores and scenes on a flash drive, allowing user to continue playing at home from the same point. From the other side, in emergency (when the boss is coming close) user can always kill the running application and clear all history and traces with one “emergency” action. You can always click on CodySafe’s “Exit” or “Eject” button or even unplug the drive (though we do not recommend doing it) and all the games running from the drive will disappear along with all the chats of the instant messenger, web pages with browsers and all other applications running from the portable drive will disappear leaving no trace on the workstation. When at work you keep working… or at least pretend working.

So, since portable games are of the highest interest we have added some games to the Apps Depot, the essential feature of CodySafe Σ. Those of you who already possess Sigma may enjoy the feature right away.

  1. Mega Mario - a Super Mario Bros. clone. Of course it is not the game to play at workplace, but you decide. It features everything the original Super Mario features - with better graphics, higher resolution, smoother movement and new levels. If you plaid Super Mario – you know how to do it. If you did not – you will learn fast. As a bonus you’ve got the level editor.
  2. FiNCK (short for Fire Nuclear Crocodile Killer), a classic 2D platformer. You pick up blocks and enemies to use for solving puzzles. Heavy blocks are perfect for stacking, while blue blocks can slide through small corridors that you would normally have problems squeezing into. An enemy behavior also determines what kind of ability you would get when you grab one with your bare hands. Some sections of the game require you to execute a double jump move as well, which is performed by throwing a block downwards when you are at the apex of your jump. There are five areas to explore in total, with additional challenges presented in the form of coins that you can choose to collect or ignore.
  3. And the last, but the best one for today – the Sculptris. Those of you who are familiar with 3D design will love this light portable application. If you are 3D Modeler you will certainly need it to keep on working on the road, when traveling. Buy this game will also give anyone a sense of sculpting, modeling and art making. The game (if you can call it a “game”) was developed by DrPetter. He cared about newbies offering the video that demonstrates some of application's features.

And a reminder – your time worth money. Did you notice the Google Pac-Man logo last Friday? Yes, that was a way to celebrate Pac-Man’s anniversary. And the average user spent 36 seconds MORE on that Friday, which turned to 4,819,352 hours nationwide. So, before you start playing games at work recall the Pac-Man day.
